Our Story

Built to Last. Made by Hand. Born in Texas.
There's a reason most workwear falls apart — it was never meant to last. CFDCo. was built on a different premise: that a garment worth wearing is worth making right, and a garment made right should outlast the work it's made for.

Where It Starts
Every piece we make begins with the right material. We source Texas-grown cotton and Japanese selvage denim — fabrics chosen not for their price point, but for their character. Selvage denim woven on vintage shuttle looms. Cotton grown in the same soil this workwear is meant to work in. These aren't marketing details. They're the foundation.

One at a Time
We don't run production lines. Each garment is cut and sewn one at a time, by hand, in Texas. That means every canvas workshirt, every pair of denim trousers, every piece that leaves our shop has been touched at every step by someone who knows what they're building.
This process is slower. It's also the only way to do it right.

Vintage Techniques, No Nostalgia
We use old methods because they work — not because they're trendy. Flat-felled seams. Bar tacks at the points of stress. Selvedge edges left where they belong. These are the construction details that defined workwear before workwear became a fashion category, and they're the details that make the difference between a shirt that lasts two years and one that lasts twenty.

Designed to Be Repaired
Fast fashion is designed to be replaced. We design for the opposite. Every CFDCo. garment is built with repair in mind — reinforced at stress points, constructed with enough seam allowance to let out or take in, and finished in a way that holds up to a needle and thread years down the road.
We offer hemming and repair services because we mean it when we say these pieces are meant to last a lifetime. If something wears out, we'd rather fix it than have you replace it.

Made in Texas
This isn't a brand story about heritage for heritage's sake. It's about accountability. When something is made one at a time, by hand, in a specific place, there's nowhere to hide. The work either holds up or it doesn't. Ours does.
